Beginning Monday, November 14 the Library will remain open extra Study Hall hours that run from regular closing time until 2:00 a.m. Also, the Library will open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. During these extra hours there are no librarians on duty, but the Library is patrolled by security guards. All Library study spaces remain open, but Circulation and the Reserve Room are closed. All circulation transactions, including borrowing and return of books; and charge-out and charge-in of reserve materials must be complete by regular closing time. Study Hall is for NYLS students only. Students should remember to bring their NYLS ID Cards, as the guards will check for them at closing time. The extended hours will remain in effect through December 22, which is the last day of finals.
The Library will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 23 and will remain closed until the first day of Spring Semester classes, which is Monday, January 9. We are still in the process of planning for this interim period, and for policies and procedures in the 40 Worth Street space. We will announce these details in group emails, so please watch for these notices.
As of November 11, 2005, the Library’s microfiche/microfilm collection has been moved to 40 Worth Street as part of the Library’s temporary relocation. However, all microfiche and microfilm remain accessible to members of the law school community. Anyone requiring access to microfiche or microfilm should contact a Reference Librarian (reference@nyls.edu 212.431.2332). Requested materials will be brought to this building for your use.
